SELECTION OF MATERIALS

Albicantes takes a great care in the process of selecting of the best materials possible. We use only certificated wood for our products. Furthermore, the wood that is finally approved for our production has to be of the highest quality and perfect for the intended purpose: we use only a certain variety of wood for certain products, and both the figuring and the tension of the wood has to be suitable for the product.

WORKING THE WOOD

It takes weeks before a carefully selected piece of wood is turned into an Albicantes product. The suitability of a certain piece of wood is verified by sawing and planing it first. Whether the product is then turned on the lathe, milled, grinded or worked on some other method, all products are made by skilfull craftsmen who have a deep knowledge of the material in their hands, based on years of experience.

FINISHING

Albicantes products are finished with wood oils and waxes that are nature friendly. The careful finishing makes the surface of the product beautifully smooth and practically firm. Our products can be wiped with a moist cloth but a long contact with water - such as washing - is not recommended for it can damage the wood.
